A psychologist might distinguish between the content of fairy tales
and their function.

The examples giving so far reinforces the Eurocentric mindsetHere is
one that challenges Eurocentric cognitive imperialism.
In an African village four school kids were seated
under the tree.Three kids were Europeans and one
was African. The village teacher asked them this
question: "There was a hunter in tne forest who
came across two birds on a tree. The hunter fired
one shot and one bird was killed. How many birds
would remain on the tree? The Europeans answered
one,but the the African kid said none besause the other
would fly away.
The above would indicate yes to rationalism and no to empirical
reality. One of bthe problems with any independent variable
that occur in Psychological science is that it robs phenomena
of real content.More on this later.
